Hunger Ministries
Available to help meet the needs of families with food insecurity within the Anderson Community, we offer a variety of programs throughout the year.
Recipients include residents in temporary need and families who are receiving SNAP benefits.
We are most known for our drive-thru Food Pantry where households may receive assistance once each month. We are open Monday - Friday from 9:00-10:00 am or until 45 families are served.
Food Pantry
Assists families on a first-come, first-served basis through a drive-thru Food Pantry. We are open Monday-Friday starting at 9:00 am. To qualify, clients must be residents of Anderson County, must present a valid SC Driver's License or ID, and must meet eligibility guidelines. Additional items may be required for future visits.
Monthly food delivery to disabled and elderly clients (living in Baptist Village Apartments) who are unable to pick up from AIM.
Holiday Food Drives
During the seasons of Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, the AIM food pantry puts out special requests to the community for assistance with collecting food items for clients of the food pantry, which will enable them to prepare a special holiday meal for their family.
Trick-or-Treat So Others May Eat (TOTSOME)
An annual food drive that encourages the community to get creative and have fun while collecting food for those in need.
Summer Food For Kids (SF4K)
During the summer months when children living in subsidized housing do not have the same access to food as they do during the school year, this program provides children with food to help them get through the weekend without being hungry.
