During the Christmas season, we identify current clients with additional needs, and match them with churches, Sunday school classes, businesses or volunteer families to ensure that those in need feel the spirit of Christmas and the support of the community. We coordinate with the Salvation Army and the Dept. of Social Services to prevent duplication of services. We, also, coordinate with the sponsor families and the clients for pickup and delivery.

This young woman came to AIM for help buying Christmas for her four small children after a layoff at her job. When she arrived to collect the four large Christmas packages, the staff could tell that she was truly grateful for the toys, coats, shoes, and clothing, etc. that were provided for each of her children by generous donors.
"She told the staff that it had been months since she and her children had access to toilet tissue in their own home."
But there was one thing that this lady saw that brought tears to her eyes and a smile to her face. You would never guess that this special gift was toilet tissue! On this particular year, AIM was blessed enough to be able to give each family some paper goods and personal hygiene products along with their children’s gifts, but no one had expected such an emotional response! The young woman ran up and grabbed the package of toilet tissue and hugged it! She told the staff that it had been months since she and her children had access to toilet tissue in their own home. Toilet tissue had been determined to be a luxury item that they just could not afford at the time. It is amazing that something so small, that we take for granted, like toilet tissue, can bring hope in the Christmas season!
