Housing Rehabilitation Coordinator

 

Overview

Responsible for providing comprehensive services and client services for obtaining Emergency Repairs and Owner-Occupied Repairs. Responsible for contacting and communicating with local contracts and Housing Authority to complete ER and OOR projects as assigned.  Coordinate and attend inspections at the client’s home with local contractors and state sectors. Obtain needed project information to document client need and obtain project description from contracts. Build and maintain relationships with residential contractors and display well written documentation skills for processing invoices and fees. Responsible to track and document project status. Provide documentation and photos for project completion. Must make determination for project priority and provide justification for projects chosen.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible the completion of Emergency Repairs (ERs) yearly goal as assigned by the Director of Housing
  • Responsible for the completion of Owner- Occupied Repairs (OORs) as assigned by the Director Housing
  • Responsible for tracking all steps of ER and OOR progress and completion
  • Responsible for completing client applications, project write-ups, requests for inspections and invoicing.
  • Maintains all records/documentation as required for all participants/projects.
  • Ensures that all contractors adhere to standards and guidelines provided by SC Housing Authority
  • Completes primary work writes up with local contractors
  • Ensures construction is taking place in a timely manner for the benefit of the client and AIM
  • Must be flexible with day-to-day schedule to accommodate contractor meetings and inspections.
  • Input data into data management system in real time.

 

Reporting Structure

This position will report to the Director of Housing. This position will work up to twenty-eight hours each week.

Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of residential construction. Construction and building experience preferred
  • Must have strong communication, writing and computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Must have ability to interact effectively, both internally and externally to AIM, with people who are diverse in skills, cultures, and authority levels, interests, backgrounds, and economic status, to get tasks accomplished.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
